Fill the Boot!!

Today was "Fill the Boot" day for the DeRidder Fire Department!

At least once a year, they take up a collection for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (Jerry's Kids), and stand out around town collecting $$ in their boots. This might be more dangerous than fighting fire--You know how some people drive!!

Abigail got a sticker for her donation!

My honey caused a bit of a traffic jam at Wal-Mart this morning!!

They did a great job, though, and collected over $2800!!

Momma's Big Helper!

My sweet baby is not a baby anymore...

She is such a big helper and loves to fold the clothes!

I cannot believe she will soon be two years old--time flies when you're the Momma of a Princess!

Family Time!!

Today was a day full of family and fun!!

MeMe, Papa, Aunt Candice and Aryana came to spend the day!

Abigail had a fun time playing with lots of her cousins!

Chloe and JoJo came with Uncle Ralph and Aunt Kristi!

Uncle Matt came over to shoot the bow!

And then Riley came by for some play time, too!!

Hopefully someone will sleep well tonight--fingers crossed!!

A New Friend!!

We had a very special visit today from some wonderful friends!!

Abigail got to meet Baby Eli, and she is SO in love with him!!

Muzzle-Loading Time!!

After much research and preparation, we decided to try out the ol' 50 cal. this evening!

I was a little nervous, especially since neither Justin nor I had ever shot a muzzle-loader before!!

Abigail was not nervous at all--just excited!

I can see we're gonna be investing in one of those pink cap guns pretty soon...

She got to sit on Daddy's truck while we set everything up!

Justin went first in case of explosion or the severing of limbs or something.

Thankfully, we all still have all of our parts!!

Sweet Saturdays...

Today was another one of those days when Daddy had to work and it was just us girls!

Though we really miss him a lot when he's working, we do enjoy our girl time, you know!!

Miss Priss is cheesin' it up, helping Momma get organized!!

After our nap, we had a birthday party to attend!

BIG News!!

We have an announcement to make--Miss Abigail is potty training!! She went in the potty twice today--one of those times she even POOPED!! YAY for my big girl!!

Hot Birthday!

Well, today may well be the hottest day of the year, and NO, it's not because of all the candles on my cake!!

It was a wonderful birthday and I think I'll do it again tomorrow!!

We went to Alexandria and did a little shopping--hunting camo is on clearance at Academy--Yay!! Then we ate and shopped a little more and then took the scenic drive home!

Nothing exciting, but a fun day with my little family!

Yeah, I know. Good thing I married a fireman...
