Senorita Abigail!

Well, she gets it honest...my little Princess loves her Mexican food!! And just like her Daddy, the spicier, the better!! Since there's pretty much nothing she won't eat, we let her have a little taste of guacamole that Daddy made!!

Despite the "Are you CRAZY??" face, she loved it!! She helped Daddy finish off the bowl!!

Even though she's a big girl now, her favorite place to be is still in Daddy's lap!! Maybe it's because he's always got some food....??? I'm just thankful that she's a good eater and is willing to try new foods! Now if I could just get her to drink her milk...

Daddy got a Dee-ah!!

It was a pretty productive morning out here in Cole Central...

Daddy got his first dee-ah of the season!!

Abigail was so excited when he came to show us--she kept saying "DEE-AH, DEE-AH" and pointing at it! Then she would say, "Bye, bye, dee-ah!", as if she knew he was already gone!! I just know she's gonna want to be up in that dee-ah stand with Daddy next year...

Pork Rind Princess!!

Yesterday we headed to Lake Charles for the Princess' 1 year checkup and shots! We had to stop for Daddy to get a snack, and of course, Miss Abigail had to have some...pork rinds. I resisted at first, but the incessant whining convinced me that it would be okay...and she LOVED 'em!! She ate about half of the bag and was a little disappointed when it was "gone gone"! We asked the doctor if there was anything we shouldn't be feeding her, since she wants everything we eat, and he just laughed when we told him about her most recent snack!!

As usual, my little trooper took her shots with hardly any tears!! She is a tough little Princess! She got another A+ on her checkup, and Doc says she's looking great!!

I was trying to take some Fall pictures, but my girl was not especially cooperative...The sun was in her eyes, Hopper was more interesting, she wanted to eat the mums...you get the picture! We did salvage a couple good shots, and this is one of them!
Abigail was so excited her Granny came to stay with her last night! She laughed and played and showed Granny all her new tricks and dance moves! She came so that Justin and I could go hunting this morning, but apparently I got a bug and was sick all night--no big buck for me today:-(!Look, Ma, no hands!! With all the toys in her toy basket, she still chooses to stand in the kitchen using her mouth to open the drawers...Love that smart girl!!!

Frog Princess!

Miss Abigail is just a frog lovin' girl--she's sporting her froggie pj's, laying on her Frog blanket that Aunt Madeline made, and playing with Fred the Frog, that Nana and PawPaw won for her at the fair! Hope we don't all get warts!!

Pigtail Princess!!

Well, I finally got brave enough to break out those tiny little rubberbands and attempt a new 'do for my girl. Those who know me well know that I am not a hairdresser. I'm doing good to get this mane in a ponytail...But, I was tired of her pulling her bows out the second after I put them in, so I decided to try a new tactic...this would be the result:

LOVE IT!!! She can still get them out, but it takes her longer and it hurts, so she's already thinking twice about pulling them out! I must say, she just gets cuter and cuter every day...

Lately...

There is nothing more that my baby (ok, babies) love to do than roll around together!! Abigail thinks it's hilarious that her Daddy is always trying to kiss and love on her. She pretends to try and get away from him, but she's always watching to see how close he is to catching up...and if he's too far, she'll go after him!! Love this pic!!
Miss Priss thinks she is Too Big in her big girl rocking chair sitting between Momma and Daddy watching TV!! (At this moment, they were watching LSU go down the tubes--love the look on her face!! Pretty much describes the whole game...)

Abigail and I had a fun time today having lunch with Aunt Deb!! Although the Princess slept through the first half on Aunt Deb's shoulder, she really came alive once she woke up!! And she LOVES the new George Strait CD (who wouldn't?), and she did NOT want to give it back to Aunt Deb when it was time to go!! She finally did give George (and Aunt Deb) some sugar and released her death grip...Thank you, Aunt Deb, for lunch!! We'll have to do it again soon!! Love and kisses!!

Greens and Great Balls of Fire...

Momma's little Country Princess loves her groceries!! And apparently, that now includes greens! (She does Not get that from me--must be her Daddy and Ma, her PawPaws, etc.) Justin picked some from our garden the other day, and she ate 2 1/2 bowls!! She loves 'em!! At first, she wasn't too sure about the texture, but she quickly got over that. The aftermath is somewhat gaseous, but at least she's eating her vegetables...
The Princess loves her new piano from Nana and PawPaw!! She can play all kinds of songs on it already! Her Daddy played "Amazing Grace", and--I promise--she picked out a few notes after he finished! I really do think she's got some musical talent--she loves all kinds and she has pretty good rhythm for a one-year old!! (It still feels really weird to say that...)

Crazy/Beautiful

What am I gonna do with this crazy girl?? I get her all dressed up for church in her Princess Birthday dress, and what does she want to do??? She wants to play fireman with her Daddy!

That Elmo is so funny!! (The stupid thing won't shut up--thanks, Aunt Amie!!)

Not sure why, but for some reason, my dainty little Princess has started making the face seen below ALL THE TIME!! She thinks it's hilarious when you do it back!! I have no idea where she got it from--Justin and I DO NOT walk around looking like that!!

My sweet little old lady this morning, all wrapped up in her blanket, rocking in her rocking chair...reminds me of Ma! She would love to get some of that Abigail sugar!!

Birthday Party Pics!!

Here are just a few pics from the Princess' Birthday party on Saturday...somehow in reverse order again...oh, well, Momma's tired...It's exhausting being the Momma of a 1 year old!!

Princess Sleepyhead missed the first hour of her party! Daddy tried rocking her for about an hour before the party, but it backfired, and he slept while she played...
Then, about 1:45, she fell sound asleep!!

After awhile, she warmed up and played, only to fall back asleep again before the party was over...oh, well, maybe next year'll be better!!

We sure missed Nana and PawPaw, and Aunt Deb, but we hope PawPaw and Aunt Deb will be feeling better soon! Abigail sends a big "Thank You!!" to everyone for all of her presents! She is a very blessed little Princess to have so many wonderful people in her life! She sends everyone a royal smooch!!

WOW!! At 12:11 this afternoon, our Princess turned one whole year old!!! It's so hard to believe, and "time flies" seems way too cliche' to describe how we feel...What a precious, priceless gift we have been blessed with. It seems like I always wanted to be a Momma, but I never knew it would feel like this. I've been grinning and fighting back tears all day...Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Lord for our beautiful girl! Momma and Daddy love you forever!!
