Surprise Visit!!

Abigail and I had a surprise visit today from Mrs. Amie and Miss Madison!!

The girls had so much fun playing together!

Watermelons!

We've had a very busy week this week--seems like the days flew by!!

Thursday night, we went to help PawPaw and Uncle Dane pull

watermelons out at Mr. Grady's field! It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun, too!

I don't think any of us had a dry thread on when we got done!

All those veggies I picked yesterday (and the ones from the day before and the day before that) had to go somewhere, so today we got to cannin'!

We went to Tunk's last night with Nana and PawPaw, and Abigail gave PawPaw some

What a busy day!

After church, we went and ate lunch with Daddy at the fire station,

and after that, it was party time!!

Today is Abigail's friend Ayden's 2nd birthday party!

We were very excited to go to his Elmo party at the park and eat some fish!!

So excited, in fact, that Abigail zonked out in her Daddy's arms after lunch!

Took a little while to warm up, but she eventually smiled a little...

Well, at least Ayden was having fun...

After the party, we came home and got in the "pooo", and her attitude improved greatly!!

Miss Independent wants to do everything by herself, including eating!

We've learned to pick our battles around here, so as long as we're hanging at the house,

it's "anything goes"!!

Miss Priss really enjoyed her "Kid Cuisine" meal tonight,

so much so that she didn't want it to ever end!

She really enjoyed the chocolate pudding, so she put it on everything!

She doesn't mind getting messy, but she HAS to clean herself up pretty fast!

She would say, "wipey, Momma. Yucky hands!"

In the Garden...

Thanks to that gullywasher we got last week, the garden is literally bursting at the seams!!

It's been a few days since we've picked anything, but nonetheless, it was almost impossible to get it all in one trip!

Uncle Casey's birthday was last Thursday, and PawPaw's is today, so we celebrated all together!

Memorial Day!

We thought we'd invite a few people over for Memorial Day,

and then it turned into a full-blown shindig!!

It was fun, though, and an interesting mix of all of our family!

I think everyone enjoyed it, and there was certainly plenty to eat!

We'll have to do it again next year, after we rest up!!
