Hot Tamale!!

Here are some pics of the Princess eating Daddy's salsa last night. He had finished off some chips and dip and set his bowl on the table. When Abigail spotted it, she picked it up and put her face in it before we could stop her! She was smiling when we moved the bowl and grunting for more! Daddy fed her salsa off his finger until it was all gone! So far, she hasn't found any big girl food that she doesn't like! Tonight she had peas and two different pasta dishes for supper! I'm glad to know that she's not a picky eater--at least not yet!

Purple Hull Princess!

Well, the Princess certainly gets it honest...she loves her purple hull peas just like her Momma and Daddy! She would rather eat that than just about anything else (me, too!)! She just gets the biggest smile on her face when she sees the peas in her bowl. Her eyes light up, and she jumps up and down in her highchair!! She's too funny! After supper, we rode with Daddy out to the lease to work on his deer stand. She pointed at all of the limbs that needed trimming and really helped out a lot. She was so tired that she fell asleep on the way home, despite all of the bumps and noise! And now she's wide awake and refusing to go to sleep...looks like it'll be another late night...

Daredevil Princess

Thanks to the computer expertise of Aunt Madeline, we are back in business!! Sorry for the delay! Here are a few pics of Her Highness tonight trying to climb over Momma's chair! She is truly fearless! She thinks it is so funny to give her Momma a heart attack! And she has an extraordinary pain tolerance, apparently, because she never cries when you would think something would hurt her. She's one tough little cookie, that's for sure. When I picked her up from Nana and PawPaw's today, she was sitting next to PawPaw in her big girl rocking chair, just rocking her little heart out! Her little feet couldn't quite touch the floor, but it didn't stop her from rocking like a rodeo queen! PawPaw kept trying to get her to hold on, but she just wanted to do it herself!! She was too sweet!

Still Here...

Just wanted to let everyone know we are still here... I've been having some technical difficulties getting my pictures to download from my camera (could be because I have about 750 on the SD card???). I'm still working on it, and will try to post some new pics tonight so Aunt Deb can update her wallpaper! The Princess is as beautiful as ever--and fearless, which is not good for her Momma and Daddy. I figured I'd have a rough-and-tumble little bad redheaded boy, but it looks like my Princess is going to be the wild one! A couple of days ago, she and her Daddy were hanging out while Momma was at work. She fell asleep on the way back from town, so Daddy laid her down on our bed to finish her nap when they got home. He piled the pillows all around and put her in the middle of the bed. A while later, while he was in the kitchen, he heard the bedroom door open, and she poked her head out and grunted at him!! Apparently, she made her way off of the bed, which is a few feet off the ground, crawled to the door, and opened it. Thankfully, we have very cushy carpet in our bedroom, so I don't think she hurt anything! She has learned how to back off of the couch feet first, and I'm pretty sure that's what she did on the bed! Crazy girl!! So no more naps on Momma and Daddy's bed--it's in the crip or on the floor! My little Daredevil Princess!!

The Big 3-0....

Well, Happy Birthday to me...oh, yay! Adios, twenties; look out middle age! We had a fun day with the Merryville/San Antonio/Longview crew yesterday afternoon, just eating and visiting! I'm still getting over the swine flu or whatever that was that hit me between the eyes (literally) last week, so I felt kinda weird all day, but it was a good day nonetheless. Abigail got to play with her cousins again, and Allie and Claire thoroughly enjoyed Merryville!! Look out, Em and Kevin, you may just have to move over this way!! Your Princesses are rednecks at heart!! We had lots of burgers and chips and cake, and there's probably not enough Spray-n-Wash to get all those stains out.

When we got home, Abigail's Father and Aunt Madeline decided it would be a good idea to give her some Sour Patch kids. And of course, she loved them! She would suck on them and then make a face and then dive back in for another taste! Too funny!

Doo-Wop Girl!

Here's the Doo-Wop Princess on her way to church yesterday! Isn't she precious in her poodle skirt dress from Nana and PawPaw? She got so many compliments on it at church! Someone said, "she always looks so pretty and has such pretty clothes"! Well, we do try...Thank you Nana and PawPaw for my sweet dress, I love it!!!

Oh, What a Fun Day!!

We had such a fun day today! I took so many pictures, but we just couldn't fit them all on here! And some of them just weren't appropriate, like the ones of Allie running around naked!! We spent the day playing with cousins Claire and Allison, and Abigail had a fabulous time! She thinks she is grown when she plays with the big girls. They played with pompoms and stickers, ate popsicles and made bubbles, and just had all kinds of fun! I think Granny and Aunt Carol were worn out by the time we left! Granny was already saying (when we got there) "only 2 more days"!! They are fun, but very busy! In the pic of Justin holding the Princess on his head, she was watching the train pass by and was fascinated! She was just overwhelmed at all the fun to be had today, and she passed out before we could make it to Nichols. I wish the Rhodes lived closer, because these girls just had too much fun playing together. It was so fun to just sit and watch them go at it! Allie kept attacking Justin and wrestling with him, and Claire was such a good little "mommie" to Abigail! Oh, and the pic of the Princess in the "highchair"...that was the booster seat that all of us granddaughters sat in growing up. It doesn't have a buckle, so we rigged it up and held her in with a bungee cord!! She didn't care, as long as she was eating her rice and gravy! We are all exhausted but so glad we got to spend the day with our San Antonio cousins!! Love you girls!!
